Home made brown sauce.

This recipe is from the internet and is supposed to be better than HP sauce.The danish don't have brown sauce so maybe could do with converting them.
21bs apples (ideal for windfall apples)
1/2 1b prunes unstoned
1 large onion
1 1/2 pints maltvin
1 teasp ground ginger
1/2 teasp nutmeg
1/2 teasp allspice
1/2 teasp cayenne pepper
1 1b brown sugar

4-5 jars freshly sterilised.
cook apples and onion in alittle amount of water til tender add prunes at the end, blitz in blender, pass through sieve, add vinegar and sugar,salt and spices,cook on until thickish, i added a little bit of cornflour at the end to help thicken. Bottle while hot, best left for a week before using(but i doubt it! can't wait to try on a bacon butty!)
