Our house in the olden days

I came across this photo this morning of our house in the early 1900´s, the house was then one storey, was i think a little farm with animals kept in the barn. The doorway is bricked up on that side now, maybe when adding on the bathroom.The front room (the old shop) was added on about 50 years ago.It had a petrol pump outside on the driveway too, there is 2 petrol tanks still under the driveway which are empty and filled with sand.We know they are empty because the enviromental people came out and dug up a large hole a few years ago to put a camera down to take pictures.The photo was given to us by our neighbour the blacksmith who is 70 years old and has lived next door and his family before him all his life, so he knows all the history. Loves to reminisce on all the old shops the village once had but now sadly has none.(although rumour of a pizza shop opening!!!)
