Rose Hip forraging.

The other day Joe came running down the garden with a rosehip in his hand asking if we could make something sweet with them like they have been doing in creche/pre school. I pressume he means rosehip syrup, and as i have spotted tons at the side of a nearby lay-by today we will pick some and try a recipe i have found. Joe has been busy the last few weeks at school making jams and jellys and juice from forraging apples and blackberries and of course rose hips when they go out most days on trips.Tomorrow in the afternoon they are having a HØST FEST which is similar to our harvest festivals, here the parents take cakes they have baked and buy the produce which the children have been making, which the profit goes towards the school funds.Last year the apple jelly was lovely for breakfast on toast so will be buying some more hopefully tomorrow.
